Mi Next starring Anushka Sen will stream on Zee5 on March 17

Producer-turned-director Rahat Kazmi’s film Mi Next starring Anushka Sen will begin streaming on ZEE5 from March 17, the makers announced on Wednesday.

Promoted as a “free-to-air film”, Am I Next Honey follows a 14-year-old rape survivor who fights a protracted legal battle for her right to terminate her pregnancy, and is engaged against Clarifies some allegations.

Kazmi, who co-wrote the film with Kritika Rampal, said the film is special because of its powerful story.

He said, ‘After a lot of research, we have been able to make a film that will connect with the audience. After several accolades, we are delighted that Zee5 will be giving a platform to the film and it will reach an audience in 190+ countries.

“Anushka Sen has done a fabulous job with her character, and I am sure it will leave the audience emotional but at the same time inspire many more. People will connect with this film and I hope it makes a difference to our society as well.”

Lead actress Sen described the film as a project “close to my heart”.

“I do believe we are addressing a very important issue through this film. It was not very easy to do this film and play this character, it had its own set of challenges but I am glad that finally the audience can see Will get a chance to watch it on Zee5.”
